Sergeant York

foreign theater ad for Sergeant York.  The film premiered Jul 2, 1941, in time for the fourth of July weekend.  It was Howard Hawks’ 25th film as a director and his most successful film critically and commercially.  It was the top box office blockbuster of 1942, and Hawks’ only Oscar nomination as Best Director.
