Jack Buetel as Billy the Kid in a screencap from The Outlaw (1943).  The film is listed here because Howard Hawks began work on the film in 1941.  He left after three weeks to direct Sergeant York, leaving producer Howard Hughes to direct the film himself.  It is doubtful if any of the scenes Hawks directed are in Hughes’ final cut.
