theater ad for Sergeant York (1941),  The film had its world premiere Jul 2, but didn’t have a wider release until Sep 27.  The admission price of $1.10 was very high at the time, as prices were rarely, if ever, more than a dollar.  Later advertising in 1942 said “Now at popular prices.”
